Some of you have probably heard of the fruit called Baccaurea.
There are different types of Baccaurea, red, yellow, orange, sweet and sour.
In 2023, we discovered a Thai woman offering strange, white Baccaurea fruits.
She called the fruits "Egg of Yala".
We had never seen such white Baccaurea before. The fruits taste very good.
Very juicy and a balance between sweet and sour.
This Baccaurea is most likely a special variant of B. motleyana.
The plant is dioecious and it is therefore better to grow several specimens in order to be able to harvest fruit later.
Like the other Baccaurea species, this Baccaurea likes it warm and moist.
Please overwinter at at least 15 degrees.
Einige von euch haben sicher bereits von der Frucht namens Baccaurea gehört.
Es gibt verschiedene Baccaurea, rote, gelbe, orangene, süße und saure Arten.
Im Jahr 2023 entdeckten wir eine thailändische Frau die seltsame, weiße Baccaurea Früchte anbot.
Sie nannte die Früchte "Ei von Yala".
Wir hatten bis dato noch nie solch weiße Baccaurea gesehen.
Die Früchte schmecken sehr gut. Sehr saftig und ein ausgewogenes Verhältnis zwischen süß und sauer.
Diese Baccaurea ist mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit eine besondere Variante der B. motleyana.
Die Pflanze ist zweihäusig und daher ist es besser mehrere Exemplare zu ziehen um später einmal Früchte ernten zu können.
Diese Baccaurea mag es wie die anderen Baccaurea Arten gern warm und feucht.
Überwintern bitte bei mindestens 15 Grad.
