This is the largest Myrcia fruit found to date with the taste of a jaboticaba.
Myrcia species typically produce smaller fruits, so it's surprising that some even produce fruits up to 3 cm in diameter.
This ultra-rare Myrcia was discovered near the municipality of Ibirapitanga in the state of Bahia.
Ibirapitanga means "red wood" in the Tupi language.
The municipality is known for its cacao cultivation.
This Myrcia tree is medium-sized and has beautiful, striking leaves.
The taste of these fruits is described as extraordinarily delicious and is said to taste like a jaboticaba.
Nothing is known about its growth and care as this is a completely new discovery.
We recommend the same conditions as for cacao—warm and humid.

Diese ultra seltene Myrcia wurde in der Nähe der Gemeinde Ibirapitanga im Bundesstaat Bahia entdeckt.
Ibirapitanga bedeutet in der Tupi-Sprache "rotes Holz".
Die Gemeinde ist bekannt für ihren Kakao-Anbau.
Der Baum dieser Myrcia ist mittelgroß und hat wunderschöne, auffällige Blätter.
Der Geschmack dieser Früchte wird als außerordentlich köstlich beschrieben und soll wie Jaboticaba schmecken.
Über Wachstum und Pflege ist bisher nichts bekannt da es sich um eine absolute Neuentdeckung handelt.
Wir empfehlen gleiche Bedingungen wie bei Kakao - also warm und feucht.
