The Mangaba tree typically originates from the Cerrado region in central Brazil.
These seeds are from a tree found in the Restinga region of Bahia.
Mangaba fruits are said to have a very pleasant taste.
When they fall from the tree, they continue to ripen for 12 to 24 hours, at which point they are an absolute delicacy.
They have white, juicy, and uniquely sweet flesh.
The soil here is very sandy, and unlike the Cerrado, it rains more frequently.
Deep pots and very lean soil (mixed with plenty of sand) should be used.
This plant puts a lot of energy into root growth during the first two years.
It prefers a bright, sunny location.
Please overwinter this plant at a minimum temperature of 10 degrees Celsius (50 degrees Fahrenheit).
Mangaba is not a plant for beginners.

Der Boden bestand aus sehr viel Sand und im Gegensatz zum Cerrado regnet es hier häufiger.
Man sollte tiefe Töpfe und sehr magere Erde (mit viel Sand vermischt) verwenden.
Diese Pflanze stecken in den ersten beiden Jahren viel Kraft in das Wurzelwachstum.
Sie bevorzugt einen hellen, sonnigen Standort.
Bitte diese Pflanze bei mindestens 10 Grad überwintern.
Mangaba ist keine Pflanze für Anfänger.
