This is a new Eugenia that does not yet have a scientific name.
It was discovered in the UNA National Park in Bahia.
The tree is relatively large and bears a lot of fruit.
The fruits are about the size of a golf ball and are green even when ripe.
The flesh is orange and has a juicy, creamy consistency.
The taste is described as very good. Very aromatic and sweet.
Only the skin has an astringent taste - so it is recommended to spoon the fruit out of the skin. (Similar to a kiwi)
In the UNA National Park, temperatures are between 19 and 28 degrees Celsius and the annual rainfall is around 1800mm.
Please overwinter this special Eugenia at a minimum of 10 degrees, preferably 15 degrees.
Das ist eine neue Eugenia, die noch keinen wissenschaftlichen Namen hat.
Sie wurde im UNA Nationalpark in Bahia entdeckt.
Der Baum ist relativ groß und trägt sehr viele Früchte.
Die Früchte sind cirka so groß wie ein Golfball und haben auch ausgereift eine grüne Farbe.
Das Fruchtfleisch ist orange und von saftig-cremiger Konsistenz.
Der Geschmack wird als sehr gut beschrieben. Sehr aromatisch und süß.
Nur die Schale hat eine Adstringens - daher empfielt es sich die Frucht aus der Schale zu löffeln. (Ähnlich wie bei einer Kiwi)
Im UNA Nationalpark herrschen Temperaturen zwischen 19 und 28 Grad Celsius und die jährliche Niederschlagsmenge beträgt ca. 1800mm.
Bitte diese besondere Eugenia bei mindestens 10 Grad überwintern, besser bei 15 Grad.
