Acerola fruits are among the fruits with the highest vitamin C content.
Just 100 g of fresh juice contains up to approximately 1000–1500 mg of vitamin C.
The acerola grows as a small shrub-like tree and is ideal for container cultivation.
It grows in various soils and tolerates wet and dry conditions.
The fruits have a very short shelf life and are therefore often freeze-dried and processed further.
Please overwinter this plant at a temperature of at least 10 degrees Celsius.
