The fruits are juicy with a slight acidity and sweetness.
This tree, from the Myrtaceae family, tolerates more cold than many others in this family.
It can withstand short-term frost down to -4 degrees Celsius.
The leaves are relatively hard, and the tree does not grow very large.
Therefore, it is well suited to pot cultivation.
Although this tree can tolerate quite cold temperatures, I would overwinter it at a minimum of 5 to 10 degrees Celsius in Europe due to the long winters.
