We are thrilled to present an absolute sensation directly from the Atlantic Rainforest in Bahia.
This hitherto unknown wild guava is a culinary gem we have named Psidium sp. "Anacardium".
The name says it all: the fruit captivates with an intense fragrance remarkably reminiscent of ripe cashew apples (Anacardium).
Unlike conventional guavas, this wild species possesses absolutely no acidity.
Instead, it is sugar-sweet and offers an incomparably mild and exquisite aroma.
An absolute highlight is the consistency of the pulp.
It is incredibly creamy and soft, far more so than any normal guava, literally melting on the tongue.
This combination of cashew scent, extreme sweetness, and creamy texture makes it one of the most exciting new discoveries of recent years.
To ensure healthy growth and rich harvests, the plant should be overwintered in a bright location at temperatures of at least 10°C (50°F).

Diese bisher unbekannte Wildguave ist ein geschmackliches Juwel, das wir auf den Namen Psidium sp. „Anacardium“ getauft haben.
Der Name ist Programm: Die Frucht besticht durch einen intensiven Duft, der frappierend an reife Cashew-Äpfel (Anacardium) erinnert.
Im Gegensatz zu herkömmlichen Guaven besitzt diese Wildart keinerlei Säure.
Sie ist stattdessen zuckersüß und bietet ein unvergleichlich mildes und exquisites Aroma.
Ein absolutes Highlight ist die Konsistenz des Fruchtfleisches.
