This Sapotaceae species is a dream for any collector of exotic fruit plants and is offered worldwide only extremely rarely.
The culinary highlight of this species is the opalescent to yellowish pulp, which possesses a fantastically good, honey-sweet taste.
It is incredibly aromatic and melts on the tongue with its creamy, soft texture.
The fruits themselves are a real eye-catcher, with a striking, ribbed, and usually golden-yellow peel that makes them unmistakable.
Another fascinating feature is the ramiflorous growth habit: the flowers and fruits often develop in dense clusters directly on the branches and trunk.
To ensure healthy growth and successful cultivation, the plant should be overwintered in a bright spot at temperatures of at least 10°C (50°F).
