Here we have another absolute rarity for you. Tovomita is a genus within the Clusaceae family and related to Garcinia.
All Tovomita are on the IUCN list and are threatened with extinction.
They grow very slowly in the first few years and need to be warm and moist.
The fruits are unique and when they burst open you can see the orange flesh around the seeds.
Not much is known about the taste but a friend of ours said that it is reminiscent of mangosteen.
This Tovomita was discovered in the Mata Atlantica in Bahia.
Please overwinter at a temperature of at least 15 degrees.

Sie wachsen in den ersten Jahren sehr langsam und benötigen es warm und feucht.
Die Früchte sind einzigartig und wenn sie aufplatzen sieht man das orangene Fruchtfleisch um die Samen.
Über den Geschmack ist nicht viel bekannt aber ein Freund von uns hat erzählt, dass es an Mangostane erinnern soll.
Diese Tovomita wurde im Mata Atlantica von Bahia entdeckt.
Überwintern bitte bei mindestens 15 Grad.
