This plant is already 4 years old and will continue to grow enormously in size and leaves every year.
A few leaves got sunburned, but they're quickly growing back out.
Our large plants here flowered from their sixth year and bore fruit from their seventh year.
The Guabiju is an interesting fruit with yellow-orange flesh.
The fruits are small, juicy, sweet, and slightly acidic.
This tree from the Myrtaceae family tolerates more cold than many others in this family.
It can tolerate short-term frost down to -4 degrees Celsius.
The leaves are relatively hard, and the tree does not grow very large.
Therefore, it is well suited for pot cultivation.
However, please overwinter this plant at a minimum temperature of 10 degrees Celsius.
